Each blood test below answers a specific question. General and wellness

A focused cardio-metabolic blood test. HbA1c, fasting glucose, lipids and liver enzymes, with fasting insulin where indicated.
Best for: A family history of diabetes or heart disease, weight gain, or a raised blood pressure reading.
Beyond a standard cholesterol test. ApoA1, ApoB, ApoA/ApoB ratio, Lp(a), fibrinogen, hs-CRP, Lp-PLA2 (PLAC) and homocysteine.
Best for: A strong family history of early heart disease, or a known raised cholesterol you want to look at in more depth.
A blood-based prostate cancer risk score combining protein biomarkers, genetic markers and clinical inputs. Helps guide whether further investigation such as MRI or biopsy may be needed.

The standard coeliac screen. tTG IgA with Total IgA, plus tTG IgG where IgA is low.

Most men's blood tests need no fasting. If your test includes glucose or fasting insulin, do not eat for 8 hours beforehand and drink water only.
