Pricing model

How our pricing works

Three principles

  1. One published price. The figure shown is what you pay. Local anaesthetic, theatre time, nursing, consumables, dressings and compression stockings are included where listed.
  2. Written quote before treatment. Once we’ve assessed you, we send a written quote with the procedure, the price and what’s included. You confirm before we book theatre time.
  3. Complementary-procedure rule for the same session. Where a primary procedure (for example EVLA) is combined with a secondary procedure in the same theatre session (for example foam sclerotherapy of a residual branch), the secondary is charged at 50% of its standalone fee.

Payment is by card (debit or credit) at booking or at the visit. Bank transfer accepted by arrangement.

ProcedureSelf-pay price
Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA)from £2,650 (one leg) · from £3,600 (both)
Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)from £2,650 (one leg) · from £3,600 (both)
VenaSeal (cyanoacrylate adhesive)from £2,495 (one leg) · from £3,995 (both)

Ambulatory phlebectomy (per leg)from £895

Included in every theatre procedure: consultant fee, local anaesthetic, theatre time, nursing, consumables, dressings, compression stockings where indicated, one follow-up appointment with repeat duplex if needed.

“From” pricing allows escalation for complex cases (extensive disease, multiple tributaries, recurrent varicose veins after prior treatment). Your written quote sets the exact price for your case before booking.

Complementary-procedure rule (same session)

Many patients need more than one procedure to fully treat their varicose veins. For example, a truncal EVLA combined with foam sclerotherapy of a residual branch and a phlebectomy of a bulging surface vein. Where two or more procedures are done in the same theatre session:

Worked example. Right-leg EVLA + same-session foam sclerotherapy + phlebectomy of two tributaries:

ItemPrice
EVLA right leg (primary, full)£2,650
Foam sclerotherapy (complementary, 50% of £795)£398
Phlebectomy right leg (complementary, 50% of £895)£448
Total£3,496

If the same patient came back for the foam and phlebectomy in a separate session months later, each would be charged at full standalone price. The complementary rule rewards combining procedures into one theatre slot.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

How much does private varicose vein treatment cost in London?

At KONCEPT®, the most common varicose vein procedures cost: EVLA and RFA from £2,650 per leg or £3,600 both legs, VenaSeal from £2,495 per leg, ClariVein from £1,995 per leg, foam sclerotherapy from £795 per session, ambulatory phlebectomy from £895 per leg. Initial consultation with duplex ultrasound is £325 (one leg) or £495 (both).

How much is an EVLA in the UK?

Private EVLA pricing in the UK ranges from around £1,800 to £3,500 per leg depending on the clinic, what’s included, and how complex the case is. KONCEPT®’s EVLA is from £2,650 per leg, which includes the consultant fee, local anaesthetic, theatre time, nursing, consumables, dressings, compression stockings and one follow-up with repeat duplex.

How does VenaSeal compare to EVLA on price?

At KONCEPT® the prices are: VenaSeal £2,495 per leg, EVLA £2,650 per leg. Bilateral pricing flips: VenaSeal £3,995, EVLA £3,600. That’s because two VenaSeal kits add up to more than two laser fibres. The non-price differences also matter: VenaSeal doesn’t need tumescent local anaesthetic and doesn’t usually need post-procedure compression stockings.

What does ClariVein cost?

ClariVein (mechanochemical ablation, MOCA) is from £1,995 per leg at KONCEPT®. It’s priced as the lowest-cost truncal closure technique on our schedule because it uses a less expensive device than laser or radiofrequency, while avoiding heat and tumescent.

Why is foam sclerotherapy priced where it is?

Foam sclerotherapy doesn’t close the main truncal vein. It treats branch veins and residual reflux. For most patients with significant varicose veins, foam is a complementary treatment alongside EVLA, RFA, VenaSeal or ClariVein, not a stand-alone alternative. The price (£795 standalone, £398 as a complementary procedure in the same session) reflects the scope of work, the consumable cost and the theatre time involved.

Do you charge a separate anaesthetist fee?

No. All theatre procedures at KONCEPT® are performed under local anaesthetic by the consultant. There is no separate anaesthetist invoice.

Are compression stockings included?

The first pair is included with theatre procedures where stockings are clinically indicated (EVLA, RFA, ClariVein, foam sclerotherapy, phlebectomy). Replacement pairs are not included. VenaSeal does not routinely require post-procedure compression.

Are follow-ups included?

One follow-up appointment is included with theatre procedures. Additional follow-ups, or follow-up after a consultation-only visit, are charged per the follow-up table above.

Do you offer payment plans or finance?

We’re working on a finance option. In the meantime payment is by card at booking or at the visit, or by bank transfer by arrangement. If finance would change your decision, please call 020 8129 1011, we’d like to know there’s demand.

What if treatment ends up more complex than the “from” price?

Your written quote sets the exact price before booking. We don’t change the quote after you’ve accepted it. If during the procedure something genuinely unexpected comes up that needs more theatre time, we’ll pause, discuss it with you, and either continue at the quoted price or schedule a separate appointment for the additional work at the rate on this page.

Can I get a written quote before my consultation?

A written quote needs the consultation, duplex scan and treatment plan to be in place, so it’s sent to you after the first appointment, before any procedure is booked. The consultation price itself is on this page (£325 or £495) so you know the up-front cost before you come in.
