The Women’s Hormone Health Check focuses on hormonal symptoms and includes a GP consultation plus targeted hormone blood tests chosen based on symptoms and cycle stage. The Wellwoman Health Check (Annual Women’s Health MOT) is a broader annual review including BP/BMI checks and a wider range of blood tests (hormones, thyroid, cholesterol, diabetes screening, liver/kidney function, vitamins and iron) with a personalised plan.
Not always. Menopause/perimenopause reviews are mainly based on symptoms and clinical assessment. Blood tests aren’t routinely required, but may be added if clinically indicated.
Timing matters for some hormones. Your GP will advise which tests to do and when based on your symptoms and where you are in your cycle, so results are as useful as possible.
HRT Initiation is for starting HRT and includes suitability/risk assessment, discussion of options, and prescribing where appropriate. HRT Review is for people already on HRT and focuses on symptom response, side effects, regimen optimisation, and ongoing monitoring/prescribing where appropriate.
