When you arrive for consultation, you will be asked to fill out your health questionnaire before the appointment, so when the aesthetic doctor meets you, they have a good understanding of who you are.
The aesthetic doctor will go through your full history, discussing past treatments, your concerns and expectations. We will be honest with you and assess your suitability for
dermal fillers.
After ''Cool Off'' period, once you’ve decided to have a treatment, you will be offered numbing cream for 20 minutes (if required); this ensures the procedure is entirely comfortable. After the treatment the result is instant, however, there can be some redness and swelling that occurs. On most cases, the redness clears within 30 minutes. Sometimes bruising can come out a day later, which can be covered with concealer.
Once the swelling has subsided, the final results of filler treatment will take effect over the following 2 weeks.
It does make sense to plan your diary to carry out dermal fillers at least 14 days before an event due to possible swelling and bruising.
